Great service, felt like home. BEST dry rub ribs I ever had. I had to buy the rub it was so good. Great ambiance
The piggyback BBQ is small restaurant located near Whitefish. The service is fast and the server was nice and attentive. The ambience is old fashioned with license plates, wood walls, metal signs and (you guessed it) pictures of pigs. I do have some qualms about the mac and cheese which if you're expecting cheese then you will be sorely disappointed, it isn't bad but it tastes a little strange. The fried pickles and okra are a little much and will be greasy. Other then that the brisket, pork and sausage are extremely tasty and you should 100% try them. Overall you should definitely pay them a visit but don't order the mac & cheese expecting mac & cheese.
We did take away the night after Thanksgiving. Ordered the 4-person meal to share. It came with chicken, shredded pork, pork ribs, and brisket with side dishes to include baked beans, potato salad, and Cole slaw. We also ordered fried okra and banana cream pie. The food was great! I would rate it as 4-stars for this last visit. Service was really good and I would rate as 5 stars. Ambiance is nice and comfy and I would rate as 4.5 stars. I have been here before in 2020 and now in 2024. I would come here again.
Visited here on 10/13/24 Michael was our server and he did an amazing job. All of our questions were answered and our drinks came very promptly. We ordered the brisket, sausage link , and the pulled pork. All excellent. We also got coleslaw, cornbread, beans and fried pickles. Everything was great. Nice spot out of the touristy downtown of Whitefish. I read the reviews AFTER my visit. The bad reviews sound dumb, " we ate yesterday's leftovers" "our food was under a heat lamp for 30 minutes" Come here eat good bbq. Cheers!
The food was great! Huge portions for a good price. I had a brisket sandwich with a side of mac n cheese. The sandwich was huge, and there was enough meat I mixed it into the very cheesy mac n cheese! Yummy! My husband had a great hamburger, piled high with toppings, and homemade potato chips! He loved it! Great place and very convenient!
It had been a few years since I ate here and decided to check them out again. I got the Stumptown burger and 1/4 rack of ribs. The burger was huge and tasted pretty good. The ribs were good too. Their sauce was good, but was pretty tomatoey. Our servicer was awesome. She took great care of us and was very friendly. If you are in Whitefish and craving BBQ, this place is worth a visit.
